The Destinations Career Program
Participation in skills-training programs has increased wages and earnings, raised the probability and consistency of employment, and led to work in higher quality jobs. - IssueLab Job Training That Works
Your student can prepare for both the workforce and college with The Destinations Career Program at K12 International Academy, offered to both full- and part-time students in grades 9–12.
What is Destinations?
Destinations allow students to explore careers they’re interested in and have a passion for. Students in the program take a career aptitude assessment that identifies the career paths most in line with their skills and talents.
They also meet regularly with certified counselors to help them reach their goals. And project-based learning allows them to demonstrate their understanding of concepts with real-world applications, making the curriculum relevant and meaningful.
Students can participate in school clubs designed to encourage job-readiness through extracurricular activities and peer and faculty mentorship.
Graduates will earn a diploma from an accredited high school, and have the opportunity to take assessments for and earn a nationally recognized career readiness certificate from the ACT, and an industry-recognized certification* in their chosen pathway.
The career and technical education (CTE) courses we offer are based on the knowledge and skills required for each career pathway in the following career fields:
- Business, Management, and Administration: Careers in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating business functions essential to efficient and productive business operations. Learn more about Business, Management, and Administration.
