The Food Club is sponsored by Ms. Matuza and Mrs. Butler. The club is opened to all full time middle and upper school students and it meets every second Monday of the month at 12:00 pm est—exception is for October—meeting second Tuesday of the month. The Food Club is a great way for students to learn more about food. Food does represent a huge part of one’s life. It can be representative of a culture; serve as a means of survival; or used as a point of celebration for holidays and special events. By bringing a unique perspective to the club, students will be able to interact with each other by sharing personal experiences and memories with others. During last year’s club journey, students analyzed weird and unusual foods around the world; learned how all the senses impact a “food eating” experience, and became Foodies! This year, Mrs. Butler and Ms. Matuza are excited to take students on a new food journey and look more closely at some of the following topics:
- Super Foods and their positive properties
- Food Trucks
- Ice Cream, Ice Cream…Learn all about it!
- Visiting Ms. Matuza’s NJ diner culture!
- All About Meats
- Cheesy! All About Cheese
We look forward to seeing everyone on the second Monday of every month at 12:00 pm est—exceptions are for the month of October, we will be meeting the second Tuesday of that month. Be there or be hungry!
